Growing Confident and Capable Learners

Our Pre-K classroom is designed to help children build the skills they need to feel confident, capable, and ready for their next big step.

At K-Prep Preschool, we believe school readiness is about more than letters and numbers. Children are learning how to make friends, communicate their feelings, solve problems, follow directions, become independent, and feel confident in a classroom setting.

Our experienced teachers create a fun, hands-on environment where children learn through play, exploration, creativity, books, movement, and meaningful experiences while building important early academic and classroom skills.

School Readiness in PreK

Our Pre-K program supports the whole child through math, literacy, social-emotional development, and interpersonal skills. Children practice counting and problem-solving, build vocabulary and early reading skills, learn to manage emotions and build confidence, and develop the communication, cooperation, and independence skills they need for their next big step.

Experienced Teachers
Our Pre-K teachers each have
25+ years of early childhood experience, bringing knowledge, patience, and a passion for helping children grow.

Learning Through Play
Hands-on activities, books, creativity, movement, building, and play make learning meaningful and fun.

A Path to 4K

Our Pre-K teachers intentionally build the skills children need for their next big step, helping them become confident, independent, and ready for the 4K classroom.

Lorie J, PreK teacher

Mrs. Lorie Juno has been a beloved part of K-Prep for over 37 years! Her dedication, experience, and love for children have touched so many families, and we are incredibly lucky to have her!

Mrs. Lorie loves being in the classroom. She enjoys being part of all the little moments that make preschool so special, whether it’s a proud accomplishment, a hilarious comment, or getting to watch a child’s personality shine. Her favorite part of the day is pick-up time! While she hates saying goodbye to the kiddos, she loves getting to chat with families and hear about what’s happening at home.

Outside of K-Prep, Mrs. Lorie is happily married and a proud mom of three children, all of whom attended K-Prep! These days, she is enjoying her newest role as Grandma to her sweet grandson, Finn, and soaking up every baby snuggle she can get. She loves cheering on the Brewers, family vacations, planting, and attending concerts.

April R, PreK Teacher

Ms. April brings 25 years of experience in early childhood education. She is a wonderful mentor teacher, always supportive and encouraging of the children she works with and of teachers who are new to the field.

Ms. April has the energy of a toddler herself! She is passionate, enthusiastic, and always ready to jump in. When she’s not at K-Prep, she’s happily raising her three awesome kids, spending time with her two dogs, traveling, swimming, and looking for her next adventure. She loves exploring new places and making memories with her family. And lately, Bingo has been her latest obsession.

Vandana C, Teacher/Planning Support

Mrs. Vandana Chawla brings over 13 years of preschool experience to K-Prep. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, is a trained Montessori teacher, and is a Certified Early Childhood Teacher. Both of her children attended K-Prep, making our school extra special to her!

Vandana now supports our teachers by providing planning time, helping them stay organized and focused on creating meaningful learning experiences for their students.

Outside of K-Prep, she enjoys cooking, singing, listening to music, watching movies, teaching, and playing ping-pong.
